The Artist's Way

I have been looking for a class to take this Spring semester, to get my creativity flowing even more. I have taken some time to invest in that aspect of my life and I had been trying to find a good class that would push me and open me up in my creative process for my studio work with painting and my life as well. At first, I thought I would take another studio course, just like I did in college, but the course offerings for next semester at the local universities were classes I had already taken before, maybe that was a few years ago and a brush up would be much needed, but I have had the hankering to do something a little different.

Through a lovely series of events; participating in the Asheville to Miami Mural Project, attending the event we had at Dustin's studio on Sunday night and meeting the roommate of Molly (who is traveling down to Miami also) whose name ALSO happens to be Molly, the second Molly told me about the course offering of the book "The Artist's Way" here in Asheville! I told her how much the book had meant to me and she said that the class was simply amazing and very reasonably priced, as they offer a sliding scale, for a three month class. So, I signed up!

I am so excited to see how this intensive in the creative process opens me up. I think there will be a lot to deal with and I think it will be challenging, but hopefully will help me to instill daily practices to nurture my creativity. Hopefully, I can pass that along to some of my friends or if you live in Asheville and have Monday nights free starting January 24th, maybe you should sign up too!  If you are not in Asheville, maybe look and see if there is a class based on this amazing material near you!
