Hot Tea and a Happy New Year!

Hello, Art Nurture Community! I apologize for being lax on the blog front, but this past month of December has found me battling the mega flu and the super bug of congestion that followed and has held on tightly. So, here you see the cup of hot tea I am sipping to nurture myself. 

This type of nurture is hard for me. I am a go-get-em type of gal. I don't like to slow down. I have confessed this many times here to you all. This December has forced me to conserve energy as opposed to pushing the limits as I normally do. I have been cutting back on my normal productivity to focus on getting healthier, but have still been seeking to maintain important deadlines. It has been a major lesson in humility and what I can expect of myself when I am not feeling so well. Going into the New Year, I am feeling a wee bit tired, yet hopeful. This hot tea is healing stuff. 

As you know, Art Nurture The Book is going to happen! Expect it coming your way this Spring 2013. I am currently working through the challenging process of editing and hoping to get a major chunk of design work done at the first part of the New Year! 

The subtitle has been decided as well....

As I spend each day chipping away at the work that needs to be done to make this project happen, I am filled with gratitude. This would not be moving forward as it is without you all and I am overwhelmed by the beautiful support of this community, even when I am sickly and not at my best. Seriously, helping hands and willing hearts hold us up. I am not perfect and you are not either, but together we make art and that art is life. So, thank you for being a part of this collaboration. 

This weekend I will be posting a shopping cart for pre-orders of the book, so for those of you who shared with me that you were sad to have missed the Kickstarter deadline, keep your eyes peeled and you wont miss out on the first printing coming your way this Spring!

For now, I will finish this cup of tea.
