I have been reading a lot recently about productivity and organization and the like. Reason being, the last year, I have struggled with a frozen indecision and impass in my creative life. I have felt in an imbalance in my work and life and art and spirit. A lot of the reading talks about not watching TV, as a time suck and waste, a turning off of the brain. For the most part, I would agree with the experts, that TV is not the most productive thing creatively I could be doing with my time.
Except for watching Glee! I am so inspired when I watch that show! Maybe I am just a music theatre nerd.... no, I definitely AM a music theatre nerd.... but I feel so energized creatively and I'm reminded and in touch with my artist soul when I watch that show! Probably because I can see how much the performers on the show are loving every second of what they are doing. What can I say.... Glee brings me Joy and reminds me to live to paint another day! I want to dance in the joy of my art as well. That is my reason for focusing on the feeding of my artist soul and I hope you are able to be encouraged by something today also.
