Here is a cool shot I snapped while waiting at a red light coming from home to head to my studio to work. As you can see, the sun is setting behind me creating one of our beautiful mountain sunsets that I try not to take for granted, while it is bright blue ahead of me.
This is a photo I shot a few days ago, but it is a picture of my constant struggle. Trying so hard to get everything done and taken care of so that I can head into the studio to focus on my art. Often times it takes all day to get here. Then it takes a little bit of time to focus in and get into whatever I am working on. It is hard to find that flow. Sometimes it feels like nothing can stop it while other times it feels like I will never get it back again. So, even if the sun is going down, do not be discouraged, move forward anyhow; could be a great night of making art, music, writing poetry, whatever. The important thing that I must remind myself of, is not to let the day pass by and to lie my head down at night without having given time to what I love. That could be friendships, a painting, walking a dog, making a card or picking a guitar. As the sun goes down, the contrast of light at a new angle creates amazing things and as the sun goes down, so also could you or I create amazing things.
