A Cup of Tea

My friend, Christine, and I have started a lovely tradition. We are encouraging one another in our respective and very different creative endeavors. We meet semi-regularly and talk about our progress.

 This past week we tried something new and went to the new tea house on Lexington Ave. If you are local or are planning a visit to the Asheville area, I would highly recommend heading to Dobra Tea for the experience and lovely tea. It is very much like entering another country and experiencing another culture, as we do not have much ceremony like the tea ceremony in our every day lives here in the States. 

It was relaxing and inspirational and definitely helped us gain some forward momentum in our creative endeavors. Different though they may be, a painter and a pastry chef can work together to have a creatively encouraging friendship. We plan on taking the next week to take some of the individual, intentional steps and then to meet again to see how it went. It is good for me to know that I have a friend who will hold me accountable to the good I want to have happen in my life and that will allow me to do the same for them.
