"Court's ability to nurture the artistic experience as opposed to simply focusing on a finished product allows her students to deepen
more fully into their own creative process.
Painting with her each week brings me a sense of serenity that lasts all week."
-Copland Rudolph
"Court is a genuine, talented, committed, & flexible teacher...
After the [painting] workshop I felt very creative, inspired, like I have a better idea of how color mixing actually works & the freedom to play, learn, & make creative mistakes"
-Whitney O'Friel
Why take this course?
I'm interested in you learning time honored techniques, understanding visual art on a deeper level, developing your own personal style & visual narrative, and growing in creative confidence.
The most rewarding thing for me as a visual art teacher, is seeing those interested in visual art getting a solid foundation of technique that they could take and apply to any visual art experience for the rest of their lives. I want you to learn to make art like you. I want you to develop your creative voice. I want you to feel confident when talking about visual art. I want you to become an informed viewer of all things visual.
This stuff doesn't have to be boring, stressful, or cost a fortune to learn. No need to dread critique sessions, flunking out, or disappointing your family for spending money on Art School.
This is a completely affordable, high value, and comfortable way for you to experience those conversations, techniques, and projects that happen in Art School.
This experience is all about paying it forward to all of your personal art experiences & future workshops, opportunities, conversations, museum visits, and more!

This course is completely online, in your e-mail, and via phone.

"I now feel more capable of handling a project that requires painting and knowing where to start. I liked best the size of the class and having Court, as a supportive, encouraging teacher right at my elbow to help and answer any questions. I would definitely recommend working with Court. I think Court is a warm teacher with the ability to make newbies comfortable."
-Joan McLean
"One of the most important things I've achieved since starting to work with Court is the ability to engage in thoughtful and honest conversations with other artists and people. These conversations stimulate confidence and enables motivation in each other to take the next step, no matter how big or how small, to fulfill our creative dreams." -Miranda Wildman
"The process is both concrete and a bit magical, all at once. Get ready for the adventure!" -Amanda Orders
