Last night I was closing up at work when my dear friend, Ron, came in to work to inform me that he saw a photo of me in the Mountain Xpress! How crazy! They used a photo of me from several months ago when I participated in the "City of 1000 Easels" event in downtown Asheville! I was in the online gallery from that event, but that was a while ago.
The article is definitely interesting, reviewing the state of art and making a living in a city where everyone seems to be an artist. I really enjoyed the food for thought in the piece and it was nice to hear someone else articulating some of the difficulties of making art and life work. They did not put my name in the caption, however, they did call me "an artist", which is plenty of affirmation for me! I guess they don't know who I am but, from the looks of it, I am indeed "an artist". To check it out online click here or if you live in Asheville, pick up a printed copy for free almost anywhere! You can clip out the article and decoupage a newspaper printed picture of me onto any crafty collage : )

Hi Court! Well, I'm glad "Tomatocloud" gave us all the heads up on who you are. Gorgeous paintings, and I hope to cross paths with you one of these days.
