In this short video (it is less than 4 minutes!) I share with you the biggest myth about creativity.

We have all likely believed this myth and lived it out at one time or another, some of us chronically.

Until we bust the myth we can't get in touch with our creativity and find our own unique art to nurture. Check it out!

Hi Court,

Thanks for this reminder of how any myth that we hold onto because of underlying fear or self doubt limits what we can really achieve. It took me a long time to think of myself as a creative person - I definitely belonged to the camp of people who believe that only "others" are creative.

Congratulations on your book!

Hilarie,
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video. Great insights as well. We have all been believers in the myth at one time or another, it is so many of our story's to believe that creativity is for others. But you are right about underlying fear and self-doubts. That is why it is beneficial to talk about these things and encourage each other!

Thank you, I am excited about the book as well!

We have to define what our own creativity is. I love that idea!

Yes, it will look totally different for each of us! We all have different skills, loves, desires, passions, personalities....all of those things knit together to create the beautiful expression of creativity that we have to offer!

Hi Court,
Great blog, I bought your course and started it and never got to
get through the whole thing. I still pick it up and continue to work through it. Not sure I have all the encouraging video's you sent me at the end of each week, but I'm still trying. Thank you, I am actually painting again and drawing. I'm hoping to get enough inventory to start on etsy or something. Just to get started. I have too many people lately saying I went to an art fair or show and your stuff is so much better. Well, we all know that everyone's art is different and there are just as many different viewers or buyers.
I need to hear your blog great encouragement. Thank you,
Sue

Sue,
Is your e-mail address the same? I will resend the videos to you! I would also love to see your work, do you have a website? It is important to start where we are and make our map out to where we want to go. Etsy is super user friendly and you can easily post it to your facebook to sell work or share work as well. Facebook is a super easy way too to let your community connect with your work by posting pics of your work without having to build an entire website. I am thankful to hear that the blog is encouraging, that is my hope and intention with all that I do here.
Best Wishes to you!
