Last Thursday evening was my first artist's reception for a new series of drawings and paintings I have been hard at work on since moving my studio into the River Arts District. I was a little nervous, wondering if anyone would come, but over the course of the evening many friendly and encouraging faces appeared, making the night one I was truly thankful for. So, to all of you who were able to be there, thank you so much, your support meant a great deal to me. To all of you who wanted to be there, but were unable to be, I felt the love from you as well through kind messages and calls. Creative encouragement is necessary in any new venture and I am grateful for all I have received and hope to be in a place to offer the same to others as well. And.... the show is still hanging up through February 11th, so if you still wanted to head by The Junction to check it out, you can! Speaking of creative encouragement.... I know I told you that the first ever Art Nurture Webinar Class would be the first week of February, but.... I lied! I felt like it would be a great way to end January instead! The first ever Art Nurture Webinar Class will be next Monday, January 30th @ 7:30! The topic will be The "Top 5 Benefits of Nurturing Your Creativity", we will explore some of the personal benefits to flesh out why this whole "get creative" movement is going on and the part creativity plays in each of our lives. I will lead the class and it will last approximately 30 minutes. This is something I have been wanting to do for a long time and this way, members of the Art Nurture Community both near and far can log in and join the discussion. This class will be free of cost. Just let me know you would like me to reserve a spot for you by using the sign up form below. Look forward to talking with you!
