How exciting, Court!! I look forward to your book launch...Your book could serve as great inspiration for my clients and future creativity workshops...I have a library of favorite go-tos, and would be happy to spread the word. I TOTALLY agree with you, in that we all have a human right to creative greatness, and that somewhere along the way, it got stripped of our souls, so-to-speak. I love the idea of planting a seed of creativity...and cultivating it. (I'm a plant nerd, so this is also right up my alley). Thank you for sharing, and best of luck with your launch!! xo

Thank you so much, Desiree! Beautiful thoughts and thanks for spreading the word : ) I am a nature nerd and it teaches me so much about process, which engaging in our creativity is all about! And YES, we all have the right and we need to encourage each other in cultivating that creativity we each so uniquely posses. Would love to hear more about your work too!

Court this video came at just the right time for me. I have never believed that I was creative. I was a numbers girl, an organizer, a doer. Creativity? Not for me. I am finally open to the belief that I am creative. That I have as much of an imagination as anyone. I just need to tune in. Thanks for reminding me!

This topic has been on my mind so much lately, as my oldest just started kindergarten and it's a HUGE priority for me to nurture and support her creativity so it doesn't get sidelined by the education system.

Congratulations on your upcoming book! It sounds fabulous! This topic is very near and dear to my heart because the first 31 years of my life I truly believed I didn't have a creative bone (seed) in my body! Through intense spiritual healing and transformation I recovered my creative passion and now I play guitar, sing, write songs and paint, and I also just wrote a book! I've found the creative life is the most exciting fulfilling existence! I'm excited to check out your book! Your message is SO important! Xx

Court, I'm loving the fact that you're devoting an entire book to this most human and important topic. Congrats on that! And I couldn't agree more...everyone is creative and it's not necessarily expressed as a fine art. As a chef, writer and teacher I know I'm creative but before I was a pro chef I knew I was creative because I've always had an "odd" way of looking at everyday circumstances. At first though, I just thought I was different and it took a while before I embraced that. But I've since come to see that by virtue of the fact that we're alive is in itself a creative act. Funny my post that just went out today is about creativity and how our restrictions can actually force us to be even more creative. Love how you're presenting this front and center.

Absolutely, Silvia! Sometimes when I am working within limited means (maybe not much time, maybe only a certain type of materials available) the solutions that come out of it are better than I would have ever anticipated! I need to check out your post as well! We are alive and it is a wonderful gift, so many beautiful ways to navigate what we are presented with daily.

Court, you are speaking to me on this, as I have always felt "out of place" when it came to my artist friends. I loved writing - but never felt creative as a writer. I loved drawing - but my abilities weren't up to par to pursue it as anything more than fun on my own. I loved acting - and although I had a bit of success with this, I found myself hearing the same old story:

Sabrina, thank you for sharing your experiences and thoughts so honestly. I'm glad you know in your heart it is a bunch of bull! You were meant to shine in your unique creativity, which I can attest that your sensitive intuition and the way you engage with others is truly a creative expression of how you knit together your unique gifts! And I know there are so many other facets of you as well!
