"Close the door. Write with no one looking over your shoulder. Don't try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say. It's the one and only thing you have to offer." Last week, I shared with you from Section 3 of my upcoming book, Art Nurture: The Simple Guide to Cultivating Your Creativity. Last week was all about Shedding that Outer Layer so that the true potential of the seed of creativity could be revealed and the real work could be done. Many people believe that right after that shedding of the outer layer that they need to burst forth and unleash their art to world. There is a more important step that cannot be forgotten in cultivating our creativity. Before we burst forth, we have to do the work of taking root. We have to plant ourselves deep into rich and fertile soil. Check out this weeks video to learn more! What do you think of the idea of Taking Root & truly grounding down? Such a great analogy Court! We often get so caught up + excited about our new project that we fail to give the utmost attention to nurturing the seed. Sitting with it to see that it's tended to + where it wants to sprout from. It's applicable to so many things including web design!
